I did 30.30.30 WPS and it solved my problem.
#Asus mac address router mac
Hopefully this will get DD-WRT to boot up with a MAC Address that will get your router back functioning! The MAC Address Clone feature is usually a much easier solution than trying to restore the MAC Address in the router's NVRAM. The firmware will ignore the invalid MAC Address that is in NVRAM and, instead, will use the one you entered in the MAC Address Clone setting. The workaround is to use the MAC Address Clone feature of the firmware of your choosing going forward for the remainder of the life of your router. The good news is that there is a simple way to work around this problem. The MAC Address can sometimes be fixed in certain models (think TELNET), and in some models it cannot. Unfortunately, once it is gone, it is gone, and no amount of firmware flashing will simply fix it and resurrect it from the dead, even if you go back to the stock firmware. Usually this issue is corrected in newer versions of 3RD party firmware and the MAC is not cleared when a reset is initiated.
Think of the MAC Address in your router as a "setting" that under normal circumstances can't be touched, it is not burnt into ROM anywhere. Usually what happens is a "Factory Reset" is initiated at some point with the 3RD party firmware (usually very early versions) and the firmware doesn't know any better and it clears the MAC Address out. Sometimes when "experimenting" with 3RD party firmware code, such as DD-WRT, the MAC Address that is in NVRAM gets erased. You should do the same for the wireless MAC if it is 00's as well.
In DD-WRT settings, click MAC Address Clone, choose Enable then for the WAN MAC you should enter the appropriate MAC Address that is printed on the bottom of the router (or a MAC address of your choosing). Try to use ASUS Firmware Restoration version 2.0.0.0 hopefuly the problem will be solved.Īsbhn, while this may not exactly be the solution you are seeking, I am sure it is a solution that will fix your problem. I have tryed the last build and i didn't face your problem with the bootloop, but i am facing the MAC address it resaulted in showing me 000.000.000.000.1 so i am facing this problem. I can't find any reasonably working build. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reply to me.Have you tried to use the newest build (03-28-2016-r29362)? For me it resulted in a bootloop.
if you are still not connected then you should check the Ip addressing on your computer and make sure its set to DHCP or if you have subnetted your network to enter the IP addresses you have created in the fields. Sorry I just realised that you are talking about a wireless home router lol so you would connect your main router to the WAN connection in your RT-N65U Router then from there you can plug cables from the LAN connections to your computers from there you are connected to your network but maybe not specifically the internet, from here you would access your router on a web browser and from what I see of this product it should take you straight to the setup of the router when you open the browser if not then you might want to open command prompt and see what your Default Gateway IP is, once you have that you enter that into your URL address and you should be able to access the router and do setups. Main router -> RT-N65U -> 2 PC's (cable). Is it possible to do this with stock firmware? Custom firmware etc? Then connect the Asus RT-N65U as a wifi adapter, then connect 2 computers to the RT-N65U with cables. So I want to use my main router for the wifi.
Can I use an ASUS router a receiver / wifi adapter form wifi to cable with a Asus RT-N65U?
